U.S. Nationals on Scoring Frenzy

If you haven't heard about Clint Dempsey's Hat-Trick, the first American to do so in the EPL, or the USMNT victory this weekend, it is probably because the USWNT was eclipsing the US soccer world with two ten+ goal games. The weekend started off great with Dempsey's phenomenal display, but things just kept getting better. Included are highlights of each of the 4 games.

We'll start with Dempsey, proving why he is the US Soccer Male Athlete of the Year with this display versus Newcastle.

Next up is the first game for the USWNT as they sought to qualify for the Olympics in Vancouver.

The USMNT also played a game this weekend, not exactly a goal scoring spectacle, but still a good result.

We'll concluded with the last game played over the weekend, USA versus Guatemala.

The goals from these four games combine for a total of 31. Not a bad way to start 2012 is it? Congrats to Clint Dempsey for the amazing accomplishment and for the name he is making for himself and his country in Europe. The Women's team is continuing to prove why they are consistently rated number 1 in the world. And an additional congrats goes out to Klinsmann and the USMNT who were able to pull off a win with players who lack experience and familiarity with the pressure of international games.

Lets hope that the rest of 2012 continues with the amount of success that it has started with.
